Chess / Ajedrez

The kids like chess a lot... I guess it runs in the family. I think I started learning at the age of 8. My dad used to play and read books and compete. He used to play against the computer and get up in the middle of the night when he heard the beep of the computer when it moved the piece. In 2007 my niece (6 years old then) decided to take classes and since we were in Uruguay visiting she started teaching the boys how to move the pieces. The boys still enjoy the game a whole lot... and I am very glad for that.

A los niños les encanta el ajedrez... Debe ser de familia. Creo que yo empece a aprender a la edad de 8. Mi padre solia jugar y leer libros y competia. Tambien jugaba contra la computadora y se levantaba a mitad de la noche cuando escuchaba el sonido que hacia la maquina cuando movia la pieza. En el 2007 mi sobrina (que entonces tenia 6 años) decidio tomar clases y como nosotros estabamos en Uruguay visitando ella les enseño a los niños a mover las piezas. A ellos aun les gusta mucho este juego... y yo estoy muy agradecida por eso.
